Henry the Explorer
Mark Taylor
After reading the story I changed the ending of the story. Hope you like it!
On the night of the blizzard, Henry read an exciting book about exploring. So the next morning, after breakfast, Henry got ready to go exploring. He carefully made ready his explorer’s kit. And he made a great, many flags in order to claim all wonderful things he planned to discover.
"Where are you and Angus our dog going?" asked Henry’s mother.
"Exploring," said Henry. "We shall probably discover the whole world before it gets dark." "All right - if a bear doesn't catch us," Henry replied. "I wonder if there really are bears in there, Angus" said Henry. Henry discovered some friendly natives on the way.
He read his special speech claiming them. Henry and Angus went farther and farther. They claimed each great discovery with the flag. Exploring made them very hungry. Far from home, Henry discovered a cave. "Careful, Angus!" Don’t wake up any bears. But unfortunately one bear woke up. Henry and Angus were walking out of the cave, but a shadow creeped over him.
He knew it was a big, dangerous, meat-eating monster. Henry slowly turned around and glanced over his shoulder.
To be continued….
